FOR OWNER N' MODS:

1. Avoid using Yahoo ID as your hi5 ID. It's said that Yahoo ID is easy to hack.
2. Use hi5 password different from your mail account password.
3. You should turn your profile private mood, if still not. "Only my friends can see my profile."
4. Turn on "No user can see I have viewed their profile". Cause, if you view any foe's profile they can easily get access in your profile from their 'visitors list'; In these case 'private mood' won't work.
5.Turn off all auto-accepting.

FOR THE OWNER

Postby duke on Fri Aug 22, 2008 10:02 pm

1. I will suggest to create a twin of your main profile. I mean for both profile, profile name will be the same.
2. Then block and isolate it from all people. Don't do any activity with this profile except editing the group. Then transfer your group ownership to this profile.
3. Stop all aspects of messaging, incoming or outgoing.
4. Don't add any friend, not even your main profile.
5. Keep activity with your main profile.
6. Now if your profile is a target of any foe, it's a wrong target.
7. To reduce the risk even more, don't take even modship for your main profile.
8. Select trusted friends as mods.
9. Ensure mods are active, that's how the group will be kept under regular observation.
10. Less mods less risks.

I hope these will help you.. All the best!!

i find these very interesting..
but still i can't understand how hackers think..
don't they have anything else to do apart from messing with everybody's privacy??
this is soooo painful..
we have to be so cautious all the time..

duke,
i have a question though..
could you post some information about security regarding when we use credit cards through the net??
you seem to know many things about privacy and security
and that's why i asked you..
i'd be really interested in learning about that!!
thnx in advancE!!!
...try hard and you'll achieve your goals...
